Learn more about teleworking basics with this Telework Brochure! (.pdf)

Many RTP organizations have structured telework programs with procedures that include application submission and management approval. This site provides general information for telework as a commute alternative. However, it is best to check with your organization’s management to see if you are eligible for teleworking.

Positions generally suited for telework are those in which:

  • Face-to-face interactions can be scheduled on specific days
  • Internal and external clients’ needs can be met while telecommuting
  • Clear work objectives can be met
  • Productivity may be increased by uninterrupted time (e.g., data entry, planning, editing, reading, research, and word processing)
