SmartCommute@rtp offers a couple of great programs for new transit and vanpool riders. These benefits are only available to new riders (contractors are also eligible) who work full-time at a SmartCommute@rtp member employer.
Are you interested in trying the bus for your work commute?
SmartCommute@rtp offers a free Triangle Transit ten-ride pass for new riders. You can apply here, and once submitted, your full-time contract or regular employment will be verified with your RTP company before the pass is sent. Please do not apply for the pass unless you know that a Triangle Transit route works for you.
Have you thought about joining a vanpool?
If you are a new vanpool rider coming into RTP for work you are eligible for a three month subsidy for your out-of-pocket payments. Email smartcommute@rtp.org for more information.
Several RTP employers offer subsidies for the bus and/or vanpools. If your employer is a SmartCommute@rtp member, check your employer’s page for more details. Otherwise, contact your HR department to see if these benefits are available to you.
